The Company

We are a small but growing company and each member of the team plays a valuable role in the success of the business. Our current clients include running & cycling events and football clubs, predominantly in the UK but with a growing international clientele. Our office is based in Balerno on the outskirts of Edinburgh with easy access from the M8 and A720.


This is a full-time permanent position for a Graphic Designer. Salary: £20,000 to £22,000 DOE. Once the training and probationary period is complete, working from home one or two days a week is possible. We have flexi-time between 7am and 7pm.

Job Description

Appin Sports produce bespoke sports merchandise, including football kits, medals, sports t-shirts and many sports accessories. One aspect of your role will be working with sales, or directly with clients, to create eye-catching designs for football kits, medals, event t-shirts, and many other products. You will be highly creative and be proactive in offering clients various suggestions/options beyond their direct requests.

Another aspect will be working with marketing to create visuals/graphics for newsletters, social medal and our website. You need to be able to manage your workload from end to end; including designing, amending, proofing and supplying designs to production in the correct format.

To be considered for this role you must have

  • - Excellent communication skills to liaise with client via phone/email to visualise their concepts
  • - Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
  • - Have at least 1+ years of Graphic Design experience.
  • - Excellent Attention to Detail.
  • - A good working knowledge of Photoshop. Also InDesign and Illustrator.
  • - Exceptional organisational skills and be able to work on numerous projects simultaneously.
  • - Be creative, offering clients different ideas for their event merchandise.
  • - Hardworking, and be able to work within a team.
  • - An interest in the sports sector would be an advantage.
